  Community foundations are continuing to grow exponentially in both numbers and
  assets. Meanwhile, they are encountering an increasingly complex and challenging environment, and need an effective vehicle for mutual learning and collective impact. To sustain and grow, community foundations must anticipate trends, respond quickly to opportunities and threats, act as a field by coordinating and linking their work, build assets, meet high standards of practice, advance a legislative agenda, engage their board members, and achieve other goals together.
