Advancing Community Leadership Through Donor Engagement
From the Council on Foundations:
People are affected most by what happens in their own communities. When issues, circumstances, or opportunities point to the need for change, a trusted leader must engage the community to develop a process designed to reach a shared goal. Increasingly, the community foundation is that trusted leader.
Marshaling resources from donors, other foundations, corporations, and the public sector must be a focus for any community foundation engaged in community leadership initiatives. CFLeads has developed a new publication in this area as part of its work as an implementation partner of the Community Foundations Leadership Team and the Council:
